A group of universities in the UK are reimagining their in-person back-to-school welcome events as interactive digital gatherings with The Digital Welcome. Since many students are opting for remote learning classes this semester, there won't be the same opportunity as usual for making friends and getting familiar with the campus due to the global pandemic. As part of The Digital Welcome, Tinder will be participating with a digitized version of Swipe Night and a virtual Tinder Truck.
The first event kicks off in early September with the University of Chester, followed by other virtual events from the Imperial College London, the University of Birmingham and others, all of which will be hosting digital fairs to foster a sense of community and connection.
