Architecture firm Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill designs a tall skyscraper in Chicago that is said to be the second tallest in the city, besides the iconic Tribune Tower. The project will include a structure that is 1,422 feet in height. The image renderings suggest the urban majesty of the building. Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill overhaul an existing parking lot for the 96-storey project.
Maintaining a wider base, the fully glazed structure thins out toward the top with "its north and south elevation facades gently curving inwards to create a crown."
Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill's proposed tall skyscraper in Chicago will accommodate rental apartments, condominiums, as well as lower level parking, commercial spaces and a hotel.
