For more than a decade, the Jagabee brand has shared some of the top-selling salty snacks for Calbee Japan and now, Spudkins are being introduced as a new kind of potato snack for the North American market. First, consumers are set to be introduced to Fry Cuts under the Spudkins brand, which are crispy potato snacks that are made from real Russet potatoes.
These potato snacks are free from artificial colors and flavors and are naturally gluten-free. According to the brand, these snacks are cut like fries and have all the crunch of a potato chip with 25% less oil than traditional potato snacks.
These new potato snacks for North American consumers were showcased at the Sweets & Snacks Expo in fun flavors like Honey Barbeque, Yellow Cheddar and Sour Cream & Onion.
