The Treehouse is a unique art installation done by photographer Robert Holden. This unique photographed series was placed all over the streets of New York City. The idea behind the Treehouse was to get a glimpse of life outside the city, escape the grips of the urban environment and get in touch with our natural roots.
Rober Holden views his Treehouse project as a juxtaposition of two extreme environments. The subjects in the photographed series are in a tropical environment with no technology, little to no clothing and only the resources that grow around them. It's an extreme naturalist approach versus an extreme urban atmosphere. Bringing the photos into the city lets one look at the vast differences in human life and architecture.
