Google Maps is making it easier to navigate the Pride events in your neighborhood through implementing 'Pride Maps' that will help users find the nearest parades and events.
The parade route will be highlighted with a bright rainbow line and will also provide festival information, descriptions, event hours, and nearby traffic reports. This map function can be accessed by all smartphone users and will "show the locations and routes of all Pride parades in 35 cities around the world, including San Francisco, Rome, New York City, Paris, Chicago, Sao Paulo, Houston, and more."
The Pride Maps function serves as another example of companies marketing their content towards Pride month, while also providing a positive social service that helps make pride events more accessible and streamlined.
