Trader Joe's is yet again expanding its lineup of dried noodles with the debut of its new Organic Fusilli Corti Bucati Pasta.
Trader Joe's new Organic Fusilli Corti Bucati Pasta is made by an Italian pasta maker who starts with organic, and local durum wheat semolina. The supplier then uses "bronze coated shaping disks are used to produce thick, textured noodles that deliver a perfectly al dente texture that help support the heftiness of its partnered sauce while maintaining a delicate chew." This shape is distinctive from classic Fusilli spirals in that Corti Bucati is more corkscrew-shaped with a hole in the center. This makes for a unique pasta experience because sauces cling to the noodles, while still being incredibly light.
