Located in the heart of Raon-l'Etape, France, the Museumotel by Pascal Hausermann looks to conceptual sci-fi imagery for its inspiration.
"After opening in 1967 as a succession of buildings in the shape of cells, shells or diving bells", the Museumotel complex fell into disuse and went bankrupt in 1995. Renovated in 2007, the 60s hotel was re-opened as a destination for visitors with an appreciation for retro design.
After the building's renovation, its interior spaces were restored to resemble their original appearance from nearly 55 years ago.
The hotel's conceptual structures are "composed of a module shell in polyurethane foam that has been protected by reinforced polyester." Its lodgings feature nine rooms that offer a memorable experience for their visitors.
