The free-to-download app was created over the span of two years, where its developers tested hundreds of products on models to achieve the most realistic simulation possible. In developing the Makeup Genius app, over 400 different lighting conditions were captured to mimic natural changes in color and texture. In addition to being able to try different eyeshadows, lipsticks and foundations, the app also lets you test out complete looks put together by makeup artists.
