This Health-Conscious IPA Boasts a Low ABV and Calorie Count

California-based beer Firestone Walker Brewing Company put forward one of the most innovative hazy IPAs of the year with the advent of 'Mind Haze Light,' a beer that's so named because of its hazy character and the fact that it offers immense flavor despite only packing 100 calories in each can.

This hazy IPA makes use of the same strain of yeast that was leveraged in the original 'Mind Haze' IPA, while the use of El Dorado and Mosaic hops is another nod to its more heavyweight cousin. However, what makes 'Mind Haze Light' different is the fact that it offers an intentionally low ABV of only four percent in addition to its low calorie count.

"We borrowed several tricks from perfecting the original Mind Haze and packed them down into a low-calorie, low-alcohol edition that is loaded with tropical-citrus flavors," revealed brewmaster Matt Brynildson, confirming that this hazy IPA is designed to be a more health-conscious and sessionable version of the original.
