Inspired by the classic King Cake for Mardi Gras, Shake Shack is introducing a limited-edition King Cake Concrete—a treat that gets its name from the fact that it's so thick that it can be served to guests upside down. This limited-edition version of Shake Shake's signature blended custard dessert consists of a slice of Willa Jean’s Caramel Crunch King Cake with cinnamon sugar filling, caramel glaze, cream cheese frosting, sprinkles and vanilla custard.
Although King Cakes are traditionally served with a plastic baby figurine hidden inside for good luck, Shake Shack will not be including this part of the Mardi Gras custom. Shake Shack's King Cake Concrete will be available for just a limited time in February at participating locations in the New Orleans area.
