Stress-Free Urban Abodes

The Library House by Khosla Associates Reflects the Lives of Residences

After receiving a very specific brief for what the family of three wanted for this house, Khosla Associates had quite a bit of room for interpretation, as well as space. The family consisted of a writer, an entrepreneur and their teenage daughter, and the goal of the house was to provide a sense of refuge from the busy life of living in Bangalore, with ample amounts of privacy.

With this in mind, Khosla Associates came up with a distinct design for the urban abode. The architects ensured that certain elements of the house resembled the history of the area, and that it was clear which sections of the house were private, and which ones were for private, alone time.

The resulting design is a spacious space that fits three comfortably, with plenty of style.
