While many consumers get stymied by IKEA's instructions for building its flat-pack furniture products, the IKEA Easy Recipe Series tries to apply the same informational technique to a completely different area of construction. IKEA has plenty of furniture that fits perfectly in the kitchen, but the company doesn't typically venture to help its consumers cook (opting instead to serve them at the beloved in-store IKEA restaurant.) The IKEA Easy Recipe Series, however, is a cookbook that teaches consumers new recipes using the same style and technique of IKEA instruction manuals.
Beyond the stylistic similarities between the IKEA Easy Recipe Series and its instructions, the new cookbook has a functional capability. In order to make the process of cooking a dish as easy as possible, the cookbook pages are made out of parchment paper and food-safe ink, meaning that consumers can literally cook the dishes with the pages.
