The True English Hopped Gin is a hoppy gin spirit from Hayman’s and the first special edition addition to its Bartender Release series. True to the name of the series, this unique new gin spirit was co-created with Jordan Sweeney of The Wigmore Tavern at the Langham Hotel, who was named the winner of Hayman’s True Taste Competition in 2018. As part of the prize for this competition, Sweeney won a five-day distilling apprenticeship under master distiller Christopher Hayman and distiller Sam Pembridge.
True English Hopped Gin was created with the brand's signature blend of ten botanicals, plus creative additions from Sweeney like fresh grapefruit, heritage English Fuggle and Goldings hops. The resulting product is described as being well-balanced with citrus and grassy notes.
