Generation Gap is a new quiz show from Televisa and Mark Burnett that promises to be fun for the whole family. A lot of the time, when the family gathers around the TV for a traditional trivia show, there's one age group that's usually able to play along at home, easily answering questions on history, literature and pop culture from a certain era. On the flip side, there are often younger members of the family who are left wondering "Who are the Beatles?"
Aiming to take a step back to a more wholesome time of TV entertainment, Generation Gap will challenge a parent, a grandparent and a child from the same family to answer questions that are relevant to their own decades. Even though there is individual competition on the show, family members are able to answer for another family member to score the family more points as a whole. As Burnett explains: "A grandparent getting, say, a Katy Perry question right would win even more money."
