For The BFC Fashion Awards 2021, The British Fashion Council announced a new category that recognizes fashion in the Metaverse. This new category called Fashion Award for Metaverse Design recognizes a digital designer "who pushes the boundaries and showcases excellence in digital fashion design within the Metaverse." The first recipient of this award comes from the Roblox community and it went to cSapphire. This winner was chosen by an expert judging panel: BFC Chief Executive Caroline Rush, Supermodel and Entrepreneur Karlie Kloss, Highsnobiety Editorial Director Christopher Morency, Dazed Fashion Features Director Emma Davidson and W Magazine Editor-in-Chief Sara Moonves.
The Fashion Awards immersive experience on Roblox is available on the platform for a limited time this season and it invites players to walk the virtual red carpet together.
