After overhauling the design of Instagram's offices in New York City, legendary architect Frank Gehry updates the blueprints of Facebook's headquarters in Silicon Valley. The project features a major extension of the Menlo Park campus in Palo Alto, California.
Entitled the MPK 20, the addition was built in just under 18 months. Since Frank Gehry designed Facebook's headquarters back in 2015, the new extension is adequately informed by the structure preceding it. The architectural realization boasts plenty of space that enables opportunities for collaborative work, as well as privacy. Moreover, Frank Gehry ensures that vegetation plays an integral part in the design by connecting the old and the new with 'The Bowl' — "a sunken garden." In addition, the new design of Facebook's headquarters boasts a "town square" that is packed with restaurants, amenities, redwood trees and workspaces.
