Toronto interior firm Mason Studio recently relaunched its workspace as a hybrid office concept but not in the way one might expect. Ahead of the city's popular DesignTO festival, which took place earlier this year, Mason Studio redesigned its workspace to offer various community programming—like exhibitions, activities, and events. This public-facing initiative looks like it's here to stay and this approach to the hybrid office aesthetic definitely opens doors for more connection and discourse within the design sphere. Located in Pelham Park, Mason Studio's hybrid office concept includes "a community library, fabrication hub, experimentation space for non-profits and a coffee bar," in addition to the dedicated exhibition space. The two-story interior with a double-height atrium certainly lends itself well to the new functions that Mason Studio's hybrid office is undertaking.
