Troegs Independent Brewing has introduced a new year-round canned offering in the form of the 'LolliHop Double IPA,' a beer whose creation is said to have been inspired and set in motion during one of the brewery's momentous visits to Washingtonian hop fields.
This particular double IPA makes use of a grain bill that comprises Pennsylvanian pale malt along with oat and wheats that give it its distinctly smooth tactile nature. As far as hops are concerned, the 'LolliHop Double IPA' features a trio of venerable choices in the form of Citra, Mosaic and Azacca, with well-timed dry-hopping resulting in tasting notes that range from orange to grapefruit and melon, not to mention clear citrus hints.
"There’s only a handful of beers that have an ‘a-aha’ origin, and LolliHop is one of them," said brewmaster John Trogner. "Hop selection is key in finding the right Citra hops, and we build upon that with Azacca’s bright pear and melon notes."
This delicious double IPA is available in six-packs of 12-ounce cans.
