This week, Fortune began selling a limited series of cover art NFTs in collaboration with digital artist pplpleasr, who recently ranked within the top five of the Fortune NFTy 50 list spotlighting influential creatives, builders and other individuals.
The newly minted NFT helps to capture a moment in time and people will be able to look back upon the Crypto vs. Wall Street cover, which was auctioned off on the P2P marketplace OpenSea.
There will be 256 identical copies of the cover art as NFTs created and this number references "the 256 bits that make up the cryptographic keys associated with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ether." These NFTs will sell at a fixed price of one Ether, which makes the series more accessible to a wider audience.
