Fast-casual restaurant Smashburger created the brand-new Chorizo Cheeseburger in collaboration with award-winning chef and restauranteur Chef Rick Bayless and this new menu item can now be found nationwide for a limited time. The Mexican-inspired burger is said to be full of bold and juicy flavors and it is made with Certified Angus Beef, V&V Supremo's spicy all-natural Mexican-style pork chorizo, layers of melted cheddar cheese, house-made jalapeño pico de gallo, lettuce and mayonnaise. The Hispanic-inspired menu item stacks all of these carefully selected ingredients on a spicy chipotle bun.
While the burger is available until February 15th, 2022, the brand is encouraging guests to make a donation to support the nonprofit Frontera Farmer Foundation, which was established by Bayless in 2003 with the intention of supporting small sustainable farmers in the Midwest.
