California Pizza Kitchen has an all-new chickpea pizza crust that's gluten-free, lower in carbs and higher in protein and fiber as compared to its traditional pizza crust. The alternative pizza crust is made by combining chickpeas with chia seeds and honey, and it's a vegetarian-friendly treat that's full of health benefits for all.
The new pizza crust is being introduced at select restaurants in Southern California and Florida markets and it can be ordered as a base for any kind of pizza from the national restaurant brand.
Brian Sullivan, senior vice president of culinary innovation for CPK, says "we’ve always been proud to answer the question ‘what’s next?’ for our guests, before they ask," and this new creation follows other inventive pizza crusts like the gluten-free crust and the cauliflower pizza crust from CPK.
