Beyond Belief Brewing Co's Beer Repurposes Surplus Fresh Pasta

Beyond Belief Brewing Company, a subsidiary of pasta supplier Ugo Foods, launched a line of beers made with waste pasta, including a Pale Ale, IPA and Vienna Lager.

September kicked off with Zero Waste Week and for the occasion, the Beyond Belief Brewing Company took to Instagram to share that Tagliatelle must be between 0.8 and 1.05 mm thick and anything out of that range goes to waste. The Beyond Belief Brewing Company uses offcuts as a base malt replacement, extracts fermentable sugar and turns it into alcohol.

While Pasta IPA is described as light and hazy with notes of citrus and tropical fruit, and Pasta Vienna Lager sets itself apart with malty notes of toffee and caramel, Pasta Pale Ale is a sessionable amber-colored brew with low bitterness.
