Serving as the first premium spiced aged product from the company, Bacardi has announced the release of its new 'Bacardi Caribbean Spiced' rum. Pineapple, vanilla, and cinnamon are used to make the aged rum-based drink, which has sweet notes of molasses, coconut sugar, and coconut water. The liquid also goes through a rest and filter process, which helps carefully blend the cinnamon and vanilla into the spirit, and then it is laid to rest and polished for clarity and color.
"Category research showed us that flavored and spiced are the fastest growing segments in rum and specifically premium rum, and the Piña Colada has risen through the ranks as a top five cocktail. Even more exciting was our discovery that people were looking specifically for unique flavors and aged rums," said Dickie Cullimore, global brand ambassador for Bacardi rum.
