Wright Feldhusen Architects have designed the 'Yallingup Residence,' a holiday residence located in a rural part of western Australia.
A large glass pavilion makes up the main living area, allowing guests to enjoy the view. The pavilion sits over top of a stone bedroom suite, which is a wing of its own, snugly tucked into the base of the site's hill. The bedroom's location provides a sound and privacy barrier from the comings and goings taking place on the upper level.
The steel roof structure makes the roof float over the home, creating an overhang which works to protect the northern area of the home. The architects were careful in choosing their materials, making sure that they will weather with time.
