The city of Limerick, Ireland, is celebrating World Car Free Day by recognizing those who cycle around the city. With a growing number of consumers adopting a more sustainable commute, this event helps to shine the spotlight on cycling as a viable option.
On World Car Free Day 2016, Limerick will be hosting a special celebration of cyclists. The event is part of a joint partnership between the Limerick City County Council, the National Transport Authority and Coca-Cola Zero and it will consist of pop-up cycle cafes at locations across the city. At these cafes, cyclists will be able to ride right up and enjoy complimentary sandwiches, pastries and refreshments without ever getting off their bike.
