The Wooly Eco-Friendly Cooler uses wool as insulation to keep drinks and food cool. It is commonly known that wool acts as a good insulating material to keep things warm, but it also works to keep things cool. Designed by Dave Nomura & Brook McLeod, this outdoor cooler is free from chemical and foam insulants.
In addition to its alternative insulation, the Wooly is one of the only recyclable coolers on today's market. Made from an outer casing of aluminium and stainless steel, the cooler is free from plastic. Equipped with bamboo handles and a built-in charcuterie-board, all materials used to make the cooler are either biodegradable or recyclable. With an internal capacity of 78 regular beverage cans, the Wooly's double-wall insulation keeps the interior cold for three days.
