I’m not exactly what you’d call a cold-weather person, but this wonderfully sweet music video for “Winter Song” by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson captures all the best parts of the colder months perfectly.
It’s around this time of year--at least, in my Philly experience--that people tend to lament the cold. But the music video for “Winter Song” shows all of the brighter points of winter that don’t often make it into these water cooler conversations.
The adorable animated girls play in the snow, go sledding and experience the ineffable beauty that comes when delicate buds of new growth poke through the snow and wildlife reappear from their winter migration and hibernation. It’s all set to the haunting vocals of Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson.
