The Waratah Secondary House is presented by anthrosite architects as a simple but welcoming space that's able to greatly reduce costs by focusing on a streamlined construction process that's aided by prefabricated materials.
The firm created the home for a client in Australia who wanted to create a flexible space that could be used to accommodate a remote work or commercial business, allowing them to grow within it or even rent out a portion of it if they decided to do so down the road. This is further enhanced by the equally sized bedrooms, which make for more easily sorted roommate situations. By using durable materials and prefabricating modular portions of the home off-site, anthrosite also was able to limit the amount of waste created by the project.
