The Andes House works in collaboration with Ignacio Rojas Hirigoyen Architects on the new Industrialized Building System Prototype. It is a modular design that is able to be configured to create low-ost housing and is fabricated by Comolux in Santiago before it is created in Casablanca, Chile. It consists of a thick layer of recycled wood fiber with framed panels for support.
Ignacio Rojas Hirigoyen speaks about the conceived concept to Dezeen, stating that "The prototype was conceived to give an answer to the urgent global dwelling crisis. We decided to build a house as a first prototype of the Building System but with these parts and pieces that work as a 'LEGO,' you can design and build any other typologies."
