Wana is a Social App Made by and for People with Chronic Illness
Katherine Pendrill — November 15, 2019 — Lifestyle
Wana is a new app designed to help people with chronic illnesses connect with one another.
Wana was created by Evan Golub and Nicole Krinick, who developed the idea based on their own experiences with chronic illnesses. As Krinick explains, she wanted to “build a powerful, accessible and digital platform to help others who were dealing with invisible and chronic conditions.” The result was Wana, which is a social app designed to help people with chronic illnesses connect to others dealing with similar health struggles. Users can share their symptoms and diagnoses so they can offer support to one another and even share resources. The app also contains a WanaLibrary, which provides users with more information on different health conditions and treatment options.
Though Wana is not meant to replace the advice of physicians, the app offers a dedicated place for people with chronic illnesses to share stories and information.
