Jack Rabbit Hill Farm produces its own MEll vodka and rather than buying new bottles to package the product, it implements a vodka delivery program takes inspiration from the old milk delivery model and minimizes packaging waste. After the vodka bottles have been emptied by its restaurant and bar customers, Jack Rabbit Hill Farm returns to collect the bottles so that they can be sterilized, refilled and delivered once again.
As Jack Rabbit Hill founder Lance Hanson describes, "It’s the old milk-bottle delivery service, with a twist... We researched whether it was doable with spirits—it is—and then we moved quickly to implement a similar approach with MEll." As such, the vodka brand claims to be the only one of its kind operating a commercial refill-and-reuse program.
