On the International Day of Peace, The 7 Virtues will launch the new Vetiver of Haiti fragrance. The fragrance is a delicate mix of bergamot, lime tree, tarragon, nutmeg, fern, sandalwood, amber, and of course, precious organic vetiver oil from Haiti.
The oil is grown by Haitian farmers and then bought at fair trade value from the supplier who is committed to restoring his local social environment. Founder Barb Stegemann says that CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) "directed [her] to Peace Dividend Trust who facilitated the connection with [their] supplier Arome et Essence D’Haiti who make the best vetiver oil in the world.”
The release of Vetiver of Haiti follows along with the brand's two other products: the Noble Rose of Afghanistan Eaux de Parfum and the Afghanistan Orange Blossom.
Stegemann is an inspiration to most who cross her path and there's no doubt that she'll be crossing many more paths in the future. As a recipient of the Women Innovators Awars, she'll be attending the APEC Women and the Economy Summit hosted by none other than Hillary Clinton.
The Vetiver of Haiti fragrance is a welcome addition to the line of products that foster fair trade by harnessing the buying power of North American women for social good.
