v2food's plant-based meat alternatives are being incorporated into products like vegan steamed buns, noodle dishes and ready meals that target curious Chinese consumers. In collaboration with food producers, v2food is working its vegan soy-based meat into a range of dishes that reimagine classic local meals in a culturally relevant way.
To make sure that the pork-like v2mince and other meatless products would be relevant to Chinese consumers, the Australian food tech "worked closely with Chinese butchers and chefs to develop great-tasting bespoke pork, designed for the Chinese palette," as described by Cyrus Pan, v2food general manager for China.
v2food will also be introducing Western-style dishes like plant-based lasagne and sausage rolls via Food Vending.
