Australian plant-based kids nutrition company Sprout Organic launched a first-of-its-kind vegan baby formula in the country, offering parents an alternative all-organic, plant-powered solution. While there are some vegan baby formulas on the market, this one sets itself apart as one that's 100% plant-based, organic and certified vegan.
Specifically formulated to support the development of babies through to six months of age, the product is nutritionally complete and packed with nourishing superfoods, added DHA and probiotics. In place of soy, the plant-based formula uses rice starch to avoid the use of a common allergen and offer an easy-to-digest alternative. Sprout Organics’ business manager, Nadia Schilling, notes that "87% of mothers utilize a formula in the first 12 months from birth, so [the] formula is a clear necessity."
