Osprey's UNLTD Series Has an Improved Design Using Less Materials
Colin Smith — March 16, 2022 — Lifestyle
Osprey has unveiled the newest collection in its 'UNLTD Series' of backpacks. This series has historically been what the brand uses to showcase its newest technologies and innovations. This is still true of this newest lineup. The new UNLTD Series backpacks use unique, 3D-printed components made from cutting-edge materials that allow the backpacks to be more comfortable, durable, and accommodating, while also using fewer raw materials.
The backpanel of these backpacks has a polycarbonate vacuum-formed framesheet that allows for back support and ventilation simultaneously. Additionally, these backpacks incorporate Osprey's proprietary 'Anti-Gravity Suspension' technology, which is a 3D-suspended mesh within the backpack that contours the body through its weight distribution and lumbar-supporting design. This technology allows payloads to feel lighter through the use of physics. Many of these parts of the UNLTD Series, as well as the optional accessories, are 3D-printed and more sustainable than the previous models.
