The Trekking Backpack is a conceptual accessory for avid travelers or hikers alike to help them enjoy impressive comfort no matter how long they have it on their back. The backpack is constructed with a relatively ordinary main storage compartment, and puts the various straps and supports in the limelight. The straps feature a lattice-like design that's 3D printed using Ultrasint TPU01 material to provide strong, durable and flexible performance without breaking down.
The backpack designers spoke on the design saying, "Thanks to the design flexibility enabled by 3D printing, the back pads and hip fins can be produced in a single piece out of one material. This significantly reduces assembly steps, time and cost."
The Trekking Backpack has been designed by OECHSLER AG and is the winner of the Red Dot Design Concept Award for 2022.
