New York-based brand Van Leeuwen is at it again with its unconventional ice cream flavor experiments that are surprising consumers in North America. This time, the company has partnered with the Idaho Potato Commission to launch "a limited-edition ice cream representing one of America’s favorite food pairings—Idaho® potato French fries and milkshakes."
The unconventional ice cream flavor dropped in late February and is available via Van Leeuwen’s website and in all scoop shops in Los Angeles and New York City. As one might expect, the consistency is interesting featuring a malted milkshake flavor with bites of French fries. These were created by "Van Leeuwen’s in-house pastry team using Idaho potato flakes." It tastes exactly as you would expect it to.
