While people are now seeing the need for face masks, it's also becoming apparent that the average design of both personal and professional medical masks could be improved, and one demand that keeps coming up is a transparent mask. HelloMasks are as protective as ever but also breathable and completely transparent, offering a unique design that does not fog up. The masks are not only useful for helping people to communicate and express a range of emotions more effectively but they're also made with organic biomass-based materials, which makes them biodegradable and recyclable.
The fully transparent face masks are made with a method called electrospinning, which creates ultra-thin threads that are spaced 100 nanometers apart. The project is now growing into a startup of its own, so that the prototypes can be perfected for professionals first, then the general public.
