Even if you don't suffer from any kind of inflammatory bowel disease, you have probably experienced the agonizing urgency of needing to locate a public restroom at an unfortunate time -- something this toilet finder addresses.
The GoHere Washroom Access Initiative encourages local businesses to open up their bathrooms to people afflicted with Crohn's Disease. Participating venues place the GoHere decal in their windows to inform the public that their facilities are available -- no questions asked.
The scheme was developed in partnership with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Their affiliated Washroom Finder app is an excellent example of how the local community can be galvanized to help people in need. It would also be interesting to see how the public toilet finder concept could be applied to others in a similar situation, such as breastfeeding moms.
