Leaos Announced 'The Pure,' a Full Carbon Fiber Electric Bike
Colin Smith — August 20, 2022 — Autos
'Leaos,' the Italian bicycle manufacturer founded in 2012, recently announced its latest upcoming electric bicycle titled 'The Pure.' The Pure receives its name from the fact that the entire frame of the bicycle is made from durable carbon fiber. As a result of the carbon fiber frame, The Pure weighs only 21 kilograms, or roughly 46 pounds. However, Leaos did not aim for a lightweight bike with this model, as the title of the company's lightest bike goes to its 'Pressed Bike.'
The Pure features a Performance CX motor that outputs a top speed of 28 miles-per-hour. Additionally, the bike is powered by a 625 Wh battery that achieves a range of 105 miles before needing to charge. However, this range will vary based on whether or not the rider uses full-electric mode or pedal-assisted mode. Lastly, Leaos confirmed that it will be releasing larger battery packs for The Pure in the future, boasting more range and performance.
The Pure is available for preorder at an MSRP of approximately $7,100 USD, as the original price is 6,850 Euros.
