The Honest Kitchen, a company that produces human-grade pet food products, recently unveiled its new branding. It re-imaged its entire line of dog and cat food packaging. Created in box form, the packaging now boasts beautiful watercolor images.
The company collaborated with Bulldog Drummond, a California-based artist, to paint the images. He hand-painted illustrations of each boxes ingredients and also included Honest Kitchen employees' pets on the new boxes. "We wanted the packaging to evoke a very natural, culinary look and feel that plays up the beautiful ingredients we use in our human-grade foods," said The Honest Kitchen's founder Lucy Postins.
The company's pet foods are dehydrated, so while the packaging looks small and only weighs ten pounds, it actually yields 40 pounds of food when water is added.
