'Sketching the Line' is the name of a new exhibition promoted by Canadian display ad agency Pattison that showcases the works of commuters on public transit systems from around the world. The sketches capture people in their natural state as they travel on one of life's most essential connectors -- the subway. Sixty drawings from 10 renowned artists have been specially chosen for this project.
The exhibition features the work of established and emerging artists as well as those who simply enjoy drawing as a hobby. Commuters in the Toronto and Edmonton subway stations will be treated to these works every five minutes through the digital screens on the platforms between March and April of 2015.
This exhibition is distinct from others due to the social context that it plays on, portraying everyday people and the atmosphere they find themselves in on their daily commute.
