The Cliff House by Scott Allen Architecture makes the most of the regulations put in place for building in the area. Situated right by the water in Gig Harbor, Washington, this house is basically an extension of the lawn located in the upper sections of the lot. As such, the roof is covered with grass, providing a great area to relax and catch the views of the water.
The house itself is also impressive, consisting of multiple levels connected by an elevator in the central part of the house. Large glass windows are placed on most floors, so as not to separate the inside from the outside views. For materials, a cottage-like wood was used that adds to the cozy feeling when sitting inside the abode.
