The textured leather furniture that make up the Hive Ottoman and Table Collection is at once minimal and unusual. Taking on the organic shape of honeycomb nests, the hexagonal forms are given another dimension by way of a special pleating of the leather material used throughout. Although, perhaps a better term would be 'petaling,' since the shapes look more like flowers than pleats.
Designed by atelier oï for B&B Italia, the textured leather furniture is deconstructed for Design Milk. An intricate process, the 'petals' that make up the surface of the ottoman and table collection were created through trial and error. Available in different colors, the textured leather furniture is something that many people will appreciate since it both playful and sophisticated.
