The 2020 school year looks a little different than those of years past and students need to be supported in new ways, especially when it comes to affordable and accessible learning—and Cengage is launching a textbook subscription service to support students during a difficult time. Cengage Unlimited eTextbooks gives students access to thousands of digital textbooks, study guides, test preparation tools and additional support, all for $69.99 a semester.
While individual textbooks can be roughly the same price, this option recognizes that students and adult learners are in need of aid when it comes to their continuing education. As Michael E. Hansen, CEO of Cengage, recognizes: "You don't have to look far to see that the pandemic has widened education disparities and put higher education out of reach for more students simply because they cannot afford it. While at the same time, more than 40 million adults are out of work and many will need to enroll in some post-secondary education in order to reskill and find sustainable employment."
