A few days ago, New York Fashion Week has host to an architecturally-inspired Tadashi Shoji Fall 2014 collection. The gorgeous dresses and gowns feature intricate cutout detailing, derived from Moorish architecture, which uses a lot of interplay between positive and negative shapes. The detailing on the dress forms is carefully thought out and designed to beautifully accentuate the body in all the right places.
The cutouts are one reason the dresses are so captivating, but its bright jewel tones are equally as eye-catching. A few of the looks transition into blacks, whites and nude colors and one sheer gown looks like a more tasteful version of the dress Miley Cyrus wore to the 2013 punk-themed Met Gala.
