Taco Bell has announced the launch of its innovative new restaurant dubbed the 'Taco Bell Defy Store,' which is set to open in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The 3,000 square-foot store seeks to meet the needs of the digital consumer, mixing technologies and implementing unique experiential elements.
According to the company, the store represents the “the frictionless future" of Taco Bell dining. Key to the restaurant's design is a new drive-thru concept. Three to four of the store's drive-thru lanes will be exclusively dedicated to mobile orders from the Taco Bell app and will utilize QR codes at check-in screens. The orders themselves will be delivered to customers via a proprietary contactless lift system. In addition, the store will use two-way video technology to allow customers and staff to interact seamlessly.
