The Mario SXSW 2011 Film Bumper is a Quirky Twist
Peter Vallas — March 16, 2011 — Pop Culture
The SXSW 2011 festival featured a variety of amazing musical acts and interesting film works which included this Super Mario World remake directed by Joe Nicolosi.
Each year at South by South West tens of thousands of people show up to engage in the awesome sights, sounds and interactivity the event brings. Before showcasing the films for the event they had a viewing for a bumper that was produced and directed by Joe Nicolosi.
This clip is a remake of the the Super Mario World story, but done with a more hipster-influenced protagonist as Mario. The mustache is slightly curled and he sports a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses (not exactly something Mario would wear as a part of his original attire).
