Since its inception in 1999 by founders Josh Abramson and Ricky Van Veen, College Humor spoofs have entertained many looking for a good laugh on the Internet. It has spawned countless viral videos, memes and parodies that often touch on pop culture topics currently on everyone's minds. An ingenious concept, College Humor spoofs appeal to people's love of escapism, hilarity and all things ridiculous.
Whether that includes visualizing what the gods of the Internet would be (and look like), extreme Photoshopping of a beautiful woman into a slice of pizza or turning popular teen literature into propaganda posters, College Humor spoofs are timely, clever and, of course, comical. According to their Wikipedia page, "Their aim was to create a humor site that would appeal to the advertiser-friendly college-aged demographic."
