Pay It Forward by Purchasing a Suspended Coffee in Certain Cafes
Meghan Young — April 25, 2013 — Lifestyle
Being charitable and paying it forward can be as easy as purchasing an extra cup of joe when at the local cafe, a movement which has been hashtagged Suspended Coffee. The essential idea is that participating coffee shops will rack up suspended coffee orders for those who don't have enough money to purchase one of their own.
The Suspended Coffee movement isn't just reserved for drinks as well. People are more than welcome to buy food in advance for others. Springing up around the world in the UK, Sheffield, Wales, South Korea, India and the States, soon Starbucks will be introducing the program. Participant John Sweeney writes, "Basically it's about community spirit and helping those directly around you."
